5-year BJP rule pushed back Tripura by 50 years: TMC’s Abhishek Banerjee

Mamata Banerjee and Abhishek Banerjee held an election meeting on Friday after returning from Rabindra Bhavan in Agartala.

Trinamool Congress Supremo Mamata Banerjee launched a scathing attack on the BJP government at the Center and in Tripura.

She said, “If you support Trinamool, then I assure you, what we are developing in Bengal, Tripura will also get its share”.
Abhishek Banerjee said that People of Tripura want change.

He alleged, “After 25 years of left misrule, the people of Tripura stepped into the double engine trap. The situation has worsened in the last 5 years under the BJP’s double engine government”.

On the other hand, BJP leader Shuvendu Adhikari said, “One industry has not come to West Bengal in the last 12 years. Mamata Banerjee destroyed the entire Tata factory in Singur with dynamite. Nothing happens in West Bengal. She just opposes all day”.

Trinamool has announced candidates for 28 out of 60 seats in the Tripura Assembly polls.
The assembly election will held on February 16 and result is on 2nd March.
