600 vendors opened shop for Choitro Mela in Agartala: Mayor

Choitra Mela has started at Shakuntala Road and Shishu Udyan in Agartala.

Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) is not collecting any rent from the traders participating in the fair for the first time.

Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Deepak Majumder visited the fair on Sunday.

He inaugurated a water filter there. He said that the water filter was inaugurated keeping in mind that the buyers and sellers who come to the fair should not face any problem of drinking water.

600 vendors have been given the opportunity to business in front of Shakuntala Road, Shishu Udyan Bipani Bitan by the initiative of AMC”, Dipak said.

He also appealed to the established traders to keep an eye on the small traders so that they can do business in the Chaitra market for a short period of time.
