A member of motor bike lifter gang arrested

Police on the night of Diwali (Wednesday) arrested one infamous motor-bike lifter in front of Tripura Medical College (TMC) with stolen motor cycle .

Motor bike lifter was identified as Bimal Das (34) of Raju Nagar under West Agartala police was a member of notorious motor-bike lifter gang. The police personnel of Amtali police station also recovered a stolen Bajaj Pulsar motor cycle under his possession and arrested thief also revealed the names of other gang members.

Police sources said that this gang of motor-bike lifter had already stolen six motor cycles from Agartala city.

This year only Amtali police station has recovered 17 stolen bikes and two four wheelers and made 11 arrests of accused bike lifters.
