A team of IPFT leaders met Home Minister Amit Shah today.

A four-member delegation of IPFT met Shah and had submitted a memorandum of the charter of demands for consideration.

“We had a very fruitful discussion with Amit Shah Ji who gave a patient hearing to our demands and had given us more than half an hour. During our discussion, we had again raised the demand for a separate tribal state ‘Tipraland,” said Minister Mevar Jamatia.

IPFT party faced defeat at recent concluded TTAADC election against the newly formed TIPRA Motha which won a majority of the seats and formed the council.

The delegation of four leaders that included IPFT Forest Minister Mevar Kumar Jamatia, MLA Prasanta Debbarma, MLA Jiten Debbarma and MLA Dhananjoy Tripura.
