A three-day “Gan Mela” started in Khowai

A three-day “Gan Mela” program has started from yesterday at Khowai 12th class boys school ground.

Secretary of Purvodaya Social Organization Niti Deb officially inaugurated the song fair yesterday evening.

Inaugurating the program, Purvodaya Social Organization Secretary Niti Deb said, “Khowai is a city of culture. The culture of the artists such as Lebang Bumani, Hajagiri, Sawtal dance, Rabindra Sangeet, Punjabi dance etc. forms a bridge of unity among the diverse. That is why artists are good and respected by the society. He sought the cooperation of all to further develop the rural culture.

Speaking as the special guest on the occasion, State Sports Board Secretary Amit Rakshit urged future generations to keep the tradition of music fair alive.
