Various village panchayats of Mohanpur block were awarded for their success in implementing central and state government schemes for public welfare.
On Monday, the prize distribution ceremony was organized at Mohanpur Block.
Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Ratanlal Nath was present as the chief guest in the award distribution ceremony held at Mohanpur Panchayat Samiti auditorium.
Simna Gram Panchayat for implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Rural Project, Mohinipur and Kalkalia Gram Panchayat jointly for spending 100 percent of Panchayat Development Fund, Kalkalia Gram Panchayat for development work in 15th Finance Commission, Fatikchhara Gram Panchayat for creating MGN Repay Labour Day were awarded in the event.
The guests handed over mementos and certificates to the representatives of the Gram Panchayat on the occasion.
On the occasion, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Ratanlal Nath said, “Grassroots level representatives and employees should be committed to implement various developmental works in the rural areas of the state. Gram Panchayats should become self-reliant.”
The Agriculture Minister advised each Gram Panchayat in a block to increase its own income to become self-reliant.
He called upon every village panchayat to plant thousands of trees as well as take concerted efforts to keep the village clean.
The Agriculture Minister also said that the construction work of a public library will be completed in Mohanpur within the next 6 months.
