Agriculture Minister visited rain affected areas in Amarpur

Agriculture & Farmer’s Welfare Minister Pranajit Singha Roy on December 9 visited different areas in Amarpur agricultural sub-division that were affected by non-seasonal rain.

He visited Rangamati, Rampur areas and interacted with the farmers to provide assistance. He ordered the concerned department to provide assistances to grow produce all over again in addition to providing compensation for the losses that the farmers have had faced.

He also emphasized upon keeping watch so that the farmers receive their necessary compensation under Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana. The minister also visited 6 Kani of Kashmiri apple orchard of farmer Pranab Das in Rangamati area.

MLA Ranjit Das Chairman of Amarpur Panchayat Samiti Manti Debnath (Rudrapal) along with Director and DCM of Agriculture & Farmer’s Welfare department were also present during the minister’s visit.
