AMC Mayor flags off relief materials loaded truck for Silchar

Dipak Majumder, Agartala Municipal Corporation’s Mayor flagged off a vehicle loaded with relief materials on Friday, which was arranged by the Voluntary Health Organization of Tripura .

At the flagging off ceremony in front of Ujjayanta Palace, Majumder said that the Voluntary Health Organization of Tripura came forward to send relief materials to the neighbouring state by looking into the distress of the residents of Silchar and Cachar in Assam.

Various organizations and parts of government had also come forward to extend support to Aasam.

Mayor said that a total of 1000 packets of imperishable products like soyabeans, lentils, edible oil, etc are being transported from Agartala to Silchar.

He welcomed this initiative of the Voluntary Health Organization of Tripura.

He added that the NGOs are coming forward to help the society at the time of distress, which is highly commendable.
