Amit Shah to flag off BJP’s ‘Rath Yatra’ in poll-bound Tripura on Jan 5

On January 05, Union Home minister Amit Shah will inaugurate “Jana Bikash Yatra” by flaging off two Rally of BJP from two separate locations in Tripura.

The national president of BJP, Jagat Prakash Nadda will attend the closing ceremony at Agartala. BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee announced the news while addressing a press conference at Tripura Pradesh BJP Election Office on Friday in Agartala.

He said, “the Union Home minister Amit Shah will arrive in Tripura on January 05 and commence a mammoth chariot at 11 AM from Dharmanagar in North Tripura district and another chariot from Sabroom in South Tripura district at 2 PM”.

Bhattacharjee added that ICA minister Sushanta Chowdhury will supervise the entire programme of “Jana Bikash Yatra” throughout the state from January 05 to 12.

He also said that BJP’s state general secretary Amit Rakshit will look after the event in North Tripura and another general secretary Tinku Roy will look after the programme in South Tripura.

ICA minister Chowdhury said that these mammoth chariots will march through all assembly constituencies in Tripura with an aim to re-establish the BJP government in assembly election 2023.

He added that 4 sub-divisions- Boxanagar, Amarpur, Kanchanpur and Gandacherra cannot be connected due to geographical problems and thus, separate chariots will march in those areas, which will later join later with the main chariots.

ICA minister also said that the Tripura Pradesh BJP had invited 10 central leaders to attend this ‘Ratha Yatra’ who will address various public gatherings across the state.
