Amit Shah to visit Tripura on March 8

The Union Minister of Home Affairs & Cooperation Amit Shah is expected to visit the northeastern state of Tripura for attending a series of events.

Shah is scheduled to attend a rally to mark the completion of four years of the BJP-IPFT government. Though the anniversary is on March 9, the event will be held a day earlier. The Union home minister will also launch two welfare schemes of the state government on the occasion.

This would be the second visit of the union home minister to the state since the BJP-IPFT government came to power in March 2018 last. The visit is also significant with the BJP-led government completing four years in power.

Sources from the government informed that Shah will be visiting the Mata Tripura Sundari Temple in Udaipur and from there he would return to Agartala and attend the Bhoomi Pujan of the National Forensic Science University Campus.

He is also likely to flag-off several flagship programs for the people of the state from Swami Vivekananda Maidan and address a public gathering ahead of the state assembly election slated in less than an year.
