ARREST OF SIX ACCUSED PERSONS IN NATUNBAZAR MURDER CASE

On the intervening night of 21/01/2022 and 22/01/2022 an incident of physical assault took place on Tirthamuk road upon Fish hawkers while they were on their way to Mandirghat, Dumbur. In that incident one Chitan Das (40) S/o Lt Haralal Das died on the spot while two other persons namely Sri Jitan Das (46) S/O Hara Lal Das and Sri Litan Das (36) S/O Lt. Hara Lal Das all of ITI Para PS NTB were injured. After the incident specific case was registered in this connection.

Various investigation tools and scientific techniques were employed in the morning investigation of the case. Based on these tools Gomati police has arrested 6 (six) persons yesterday. The details are as under –

(1) Palajoy Reang (45) S/o Pushirai Reang of Karoicherra, PS- Natunbazzar,

(2) Thaichou Mog (28) S/o Sri Mungfru Mog of Suknacherri, PS – Silachari,

(3) Sunu Tanti (22) S/o Lt Dillu Tanti of Karoicherra PS – Natunbazar (4) Rajendra Bonas S/o Lt Raj Kumar Bonas of Karoicherra PS – Natunbazar

(5) Narjyaram Reang (26) S/o Lt Birjuram Reang of Dukhiram Para, PS- Karbbok (6) Nirmal Khairi (29) S/o Lt. Ram Lal Kairi of Karoicherra, PS – Natunbazar

These arrest is in addition to two persons arrested earlier namely (1) Chayan Kumar Chakma (24) S/ Lt. Hara Kr. Chakma of Rambhadra, PS Natunbazar and (2) Ranjit Tati @ Pandu (31) S/o Dulal Tanti of Karaichara, PS Natunbazar.

Investigation reveals, the incident took place due to professional rivalry between deceased/ injured persons and accused persons. The deceased / injured person were capturing fish trade from Dumbur and this was affecting economic prospects of accused persons.

During investigation weapon of offense has been recovered. Further investigation of the case is going on.
