Dumboor is widely known for its vast watery landcapes, lush green shores, small islands and its lone tropical ecosystem.
Being such a noteworthy place and tourist destination its overall tourism infrastructure was not given that much of importance in the previous time.
But today, it has become a must visit tourist destination spot of the Tripura Tourism. After getting modern steam boats, jet skies and lodging facilities; now one more feather has been added to its infrastructure.
Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb with the Minister of Tripura Tourism Pranajit Singha Roy, inaugurated the newly built helipad in the Narikelkunja, the Coconut Island of Dumboor on thrusday.
While interacting with the press Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb briefed about its importance and future plans. “It will surely boost the tourism sector of Dumboor as well as our state. Now people can reach Dumboor easily from Agartala using the facility of chopper service.
It was a very long demand and today has been successfully fulfilled. We thank the people of Tripura for successfully achieving this height within a very short time”, said CM in his Statement.
Moreover, he added that the Tripura Government is working very hard to promote the state’s tourism and natural beauty across the nation.
Last but not the least, to the think tanks and general public this newly inaugurated helipad is indeed a milestone achievement of the Tripura Tourism and today, it has opened doors of new possibilities, tourism revenue and overall economic upliftment of that entire zone.
This helipad will help travelers to explore scenic beauty of Dumboor lake.
As part of that, along with the inauguration of a helipad, Tripura Government have also selected 5 islands of the Dumboor region to develop them for tourism purposes.
