Biplab Deb urges Civil Aviation Minister to start direct flights between Agartala & Bangladesh

Union Minister of Civil Aviation discussed on improving aviation Services in the state with the Chief Minister in a virtual conference Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb had a virtual meeting with the Union Minister of Civil Aviation Jyotiraditya Scindia on different matters related to improving aviation services in the state yesterday at the Secretariat.

Chief Secretary of the state Kumar Alok and Chief Secretary of the transport department Stram Tarunikant also attended the virtual conference.

The Chief Minister acquainted Union Minister about various issues regarding the aviation in the state.

One of the important matters discussed in the conference was commencing status of aviation services at Kailasaliar airport. He also acquainted Union Minister about the present condition of Khowai, Kamalpur and Kailasalar airports.

The Chief Minister requested Union Minister to take necessary steps for conserving the land of these airports. Chief Minister in the conference said, initiative has been taken to construct helipad and start helicopter services to attract tourists to distant tourist spotsfor establishing Tripura as a tourist attraction.

He also infomed the total 5 teurist spots have been marked for setting up helipads. He urged the Union Minister to take necessary initiative to commence international aviation services for Agartala Chattagram and Agartala-Dhaka routes.

Union Minister of Civil Aviation JyotiradityaScindia showed special interest in improving aviation services in North eastem regions including Tripura.
