Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb takes an exceptional decision not to celebrate this year’s holi.
Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb decided not to celebrate this year’s holi as mark of respect to the 40 brave soldiers who lost their lives by the Pakistan based terrorists on February 14.
Earlier after the incident that happened on February 14, Tripura state government has announced compensation of 2 lakhs to each of the families who lost their life in the terrorist attack.
As per officials in the CMO, Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb is schedule to do his daily official work and he has not accepted any Holi program and invitations that had come to his office. “Tripura Chief Minister decided that Holi won’t be celebrated by him as mark of respect for the martyred brave hearts and their families and also we have been asked not to take any invitation of holi celebration” said an official from the Chief Minister’s office.
