Birajit holds conference of Fishermen Congress in Agartala Press Club; says Tripura Congress not in a good condition

During a one-day workshop conducted by the Pradesh Congress Fishermen’s Committee on Tuesday, MLA and former Pradesh Congress president Birajit Sinha said that the Pradesh Congress is not doing well.

During the previous assembly elections, the absence of Congress candidates in 47 constituencies has resulted in disappointing electoral prospects for the party’s candidates.

During the workshop held at Agartala Press Club, Sinha also revealed that he had proposed a strategy to the present management committee on how the Congress should approach the upcoming by-elections in the two assembly constituencies.

However, the committee did not adopt this strategy in its effort to challenge the BJP. Therefore, it was imperative for the Pradesh Congress Committee to embrace this formula if its goal was to secure victory against the BJP.
While responding to journalists, “Sudip Roy Barman becoming a permanent invitee member of the National Congress Party Working Committee will tell the future how much the Congress will improve.”
