The road in Indranagar area was blocked with bike scooties by BJP workers on Monday by alleging that the miscreants set on fire the BJP booth office.
The incident took place at booth no. 38 of ward no. 10 of Agartala assembly constituency.
BJP workers started protesting after noticing the matter on Monday morning by blocking the road.
Police personnel of the local police station rushed to the spot immediately after receiving the news.
After a long conversation with the locals, paramilitary forces were deployed to bring the situation under control.
Meanwhile, a 5 member delegation team from the state BJP met Chief Electoral Officer and filed a complaint regarding the role and one-sided decision of the Election Commission regarding the political violence held at Majlishpur on January 18.
BJP Spokesman Ashok Sinha and Minister Ratanlal Nath were in the delegation team.
