The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has appointed three in-charge for the upcoming by-elections in Tripura.
On Wednesday, BJP president JP Nadda approved the appointment of in-charge.
Apart from the Kailash, Ashok Singhal, a cabinet minister in the Assam government, and Jayant Malla Barua, a political adviser to the Assam chief minister, have been given the responsibility.
Nearly 5000 grass root and core supporters of Bharatiya Janata Party in Tripura has already left BJP and joined Congress across Tripura after Biplab Kumar Deb’s resignation as Chief Minister.
Many workers are in queue to Left BJP following the resignation of Former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb.
According to internal sources of BJP, ground level supporters and workers could not think of anyone else as their leader – face of Tripura BJP.
They believe their efforts could not change the fate of the BJP in the upcoming elections when Biplab Kumar Deb is not there to lead them.
Notably, Biplab Kumar Deb was the face of BJP in Tripura in the last 2018 Assembly Elections which helped Bharatiya Janata Party to replace CPIM’s rule of 25 years in Tripura.
