Ahead of the 2023 Tripura Assembly elections, the Rath Yatra program of the State BJP is going on across the state, which was inaugurated by Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Dharmanagar and Sabroom on January 5.
The Rath Yatra or ‘Jana Biswas Yatra’ of the state BJP reached Ambassa, Surma and Kamalpur assembly constituencies on Monday.
Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Debbarma, former Chief Minister and incumbent MP Biplab Kumar Deb, Education Minister Ratanlal Nath, Food Minister Manoj Kanti Deb, and three BJP MLAs Parimal Debbarma, Shambhulal Chakma and Sapna Pal Das attended the program.
Along with the Rath Yatra program, public meetings were also held on this day in these three Assembly constituencies.
Public meetings were held in Kulai Bazar in Ambasa assembly constituency, at Rakhal Tali and Salema Bazar of Surma Assembly Constituency and at Manik Bhandar in Kamalpur assembly constituency.
While addressing the public meeting, Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Debbarma, former Chief Minister and now MP Biplab Kumar Deb, Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath severely criticised the CPIM and Congress.
A large number of BJP workers and supporters were observed around this Rath Yatra and public meeting on this day.
