BSF CONFISCATED NARCOTICS & CONTRABAND WORTH Rs. 06.25 LACS

Field Formations of BSF Tripura are regularly carrying out operations to neutralize nefarious designs of trans-border smugglers on the Indo-Bangladesh International Border.

In the series of such operations, BSF troops conducted special operations during night of 25/26th July 2021 and foiled smuggling bids & successfully seized 980 Nos Yaba Tablets along with 3.5 Kgs Ganja, besides other contraband items having combined value of Rs. 6,25,220/-.

In the intervening night of 25/26th July 2021, based on a specific intelligence input, vigilant BSF troops of Border Outpost Srimantapur (133 Bn BSF) seized 980 Nos Yaba Tablets & 3.5 Kgs Ganja in general area under PS- Sonamura, Sub Division- Sonamura, Distt- Sepahijala, Tripura.

The seized narcotics have been handed over to PS- Sonamura for further course of action.

The BSF troops of Tripura Frontier have been regularly seizing other contraband items considerably particularly Phensedyl, Liquor, Cattle etc in the bordering areas of the State.
