BSF SEIZED CONTRABAND WORTH 64.79 LACS & DETAINED 02 SUSPECTS

BSF Tripura in its persistent efforts in curbing the menace of trans-border crimes on Indo-Bangladesh International Border by regularly conducting ‘Special Operations’ is effectively nullifying the nefarious designs of Trans-border syndicates.

In the series of such Operations on 01st Nov 2021, BSF troops gave a big jolts to the trans-border smugglers by successfully seizing huge quantity of Fire Crackers worth Rs. 52 Lac, besides 30 Kgs Ganja, 30 Btls Eskuf Syrup and other contraband items having combined value 12,79,126/- in different Operations.

In the series of one such Operation on 01st Nov 2021 based on a specific intelligence input, BSF troops of Border Out Post Boxanagar, Ex-150 Bn BSF, Gokulnagar seized Bolero Pickup vehicle (TR 07 B 1722) along with Fire Crackers valued of Rs. 52,00,000/- in Boxanagar Market, Sub-Division Sonamura, District- Sepahijala (Tripura).

The seized items are being handed over to Customs- Sonamura for further disposal.

In another operation on 01st Nov 2021 (Evening) based on a specific intelligence input, BSF troops of Border Out Post Srimantapur, Ex-133 Bn BSF, Gokulnagar apprehended on Indian National namely Rafikul S/o Alkash Miya R/o Village- Surjonagar, PS- Sonamura, District- Sepahijala along with 10,900/- Bangladeshi Taka & and Indian Currency Rs. 2,166/- on International border.

The apprehended suspect along with seized items has been handed over to Police Station- Sonamura, Sub Div- Sonamura, Distt- Sepahijala for further necessary action.

Similarly, BSF troops of Border Out Post Kamlasagar, Ex-150 Bn BSF, Gokulnagar detained one Bangladeshi National namely Mohammad Ayash (21 Yrs) S/o Jafar Ahmed R/o BD Village– Kutupolong, PS- Okaya, Distt- Coxs’ Bazar, Bangladesh and handed over to Police Station- Madhupur, Sub Div- Bishalgarh, Distt- Sepahijala for further legal action.

Vigilant BSF troops are dutifully manning the Indo-Bangladesh International Border in the State of Tripura.
