Bus and MAX drivers stopped Teliamura-Agartala buses and MAX vehicles for an indefinite period defying the rules of the police administration.

The indefinite shutdown starts from Friday morning. Due to the suspension of traffic, passenger suffering is extreme.
It is learned that two leaders of the BMS approved bus-jeep drivers association of Teliamura and Chandrapur said that the police harassed and fined them when they stopped their vehicles on the Assam-Agartala National Highway in the heart of Teliamura city and took off passengers.

As a result of which they have to stand at Netaji Nagar and old Teliamura Rural Hospital grounds to pick up passengers.

However, they claim that passengers do not come there. Keeping this issue in mind, bus and MAX drivers stopped running buses and MAX vehicles in Teliamura Agartala for an indefinite period on Friday.

It may be noted that strict measures were taken to stop the tradition of parking vehicles on the national highway.

Now, it is to be seen what role the administration takes to handle the situation.
