Chairman of Rubber Board pays courtesy visit to Tripura CM

Dr. Sawar Dhanania, the chairman of the rubber board had a courtesy meeting with Chief Minister Professor Dr. Manik Saha at the secretariat on Friday.

During the meeting both discussed possible aspects for the development of the rubber industry in Tripura.

During the discussion, Chairman Dhanania emphasized on increasing rubber production in Tripura, improving the quality of rubber and development of small-scale industries in cluster systems.

The discussion prioritised the issue of providing special grants to the state’s quality rubber producers to encourage them. Moreover, in the discussion, the issue of effectiveness of the Chief Minister’s Rubber Mission came up.

Dhanania said that there is a special demand for rubber wood furniture abroad. In this regard, he emphasized on manufacturing rubber wood furniture in cluster methods in the state.

The chairman of the Rubber Board assured Chief Minister Saha that the development of the rubber sector in Tripura will be supported with the necessary advice from the Rubber Board.

During the meeting, Joint Rubber Production Commissioner Shailaja K, Chairman of Tripura Rehabilitation Plantation Corporation Patala Kanya Jamatia and Principal Chief Forest Conservator K. S. Sethi was present.
