CITU team meets CM, submits 18 demands

The CITU (Centre of Indian Trade Unions) Tripura State Committee held a program in Agartala on August 30 keeping the 18-point demand in front.

CITU was supposed to present the program to the Chief Minister in the form of a deputation.
However, as the chief minister was busy with bye-elections, he could not meet the CITU’s state leadership.

Afterwards, an appointment was given from the Chief Minister’s office.
In the given appointment time, a delegation of 5 members of CITU state leadership met Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha at Secretariat with 18 point demands.

CITU State Committee President former MP Shankar Prasad Dutta, General Secretary ex-minister Manik Dey and others were present in the CITU delegation.

After holding a press conference, CITU Tripura President Shankar Prasad Dutta and General Secretary Manik Dey shared details that they presented 18 point demands while they met with the Chief Minister.

A month before the upcoming Durga Puja, giving bonus-exgracia to workers in all professions along with price hike, reinstatement of all retrenched project workers are prominent among the 18-point demands.
