Chief Minister Professor Dr. Manik Saha participated in a discussion titled “One Earth-One Health: Advantage Healthcare India 2023” at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi on Wednesday.
While speaking on the occasion, he laid emphasis on building an international standard Ayurveda and Yoga school in the state to utilise the trade potential with SouthEast Asia.
The Chief Minister said that Tripura will become the gateway to SouthEast Asia once the connectivity through Sabroom Maitri Bridge is operational, which will create commercial opportunities in the state.
He added that the hill and valleys of Tripura are full of medicinal plants. The Chief Minister also laid emphasis on setting up an Ayurvedic medicine manufacturing unit in Tripura by utilising this resource.
He added, “Following our philosophy, ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’, we are always working for the good of the whole world. Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also presented the principle of “One Earth-One Health” to the world, i.e. the principle of working for the good health of all life, including the animal world.”
CM Saha further said that this policy will help prevent disease, reduce costs, improve food security and save lives. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and addressed the two-day event virtually on Wednesday.
