Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb visited the international standard cricket stadium which is under construction in Narsingarh, Agartala.
The foundation stone of this international standard cricket stadium was laid in 2017.
Work of the stadium was disrupted due to an increase in corona Pandemic.
Work of the stadium has resumed after the situation became normal.
The stadium is being built at a cost of
₹ 185.13 Cr, in an area of 14.22 Acre & will have seating capacity of over 22,375 people.
The Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Tuesday came to inspect the work. He said he hoped the work would be completed by November this year.
The Chief Minister was accompanied by Tripura Cricket Association President Manik Saha and Tripura Cricket Association Joint Secretary Kishore Das among others.
Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb in his tweet said ” Inspected the ongoing work of International Cricket Stadium at Narsingarh. The stadium is being built at a cost of
₹ 185.13 Cr, in an area of 14.22 Acre & will have seating capacity of over 22,375 people”.
He also added “Asked the officials to expedite the work of the stadium, I am sure, the stadium will be ready to be inaugurated by November 2022. We are committed to engage youth in sports to achieve #DrugsFreeTripura”.
