CM inaugurates 6th Northeast Youth festival

Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Thursday afternoon inaugurates the three day long 6^thNorth East Youth festival at Children Park in Agartala.

Before the formal inauguration of the festival, hundreds of youths from eight northeastern states participate in a colourful rally with their traditional attires in the thoroughfares of Agartala.

In the formal inauguration programme, Chief Minister alsong with his cabinet colleagues including deputy chief minister Jishune Debbarma, Revenue minister N C Debarma, Education minister Ratan Lal Nath, Sports minister Manoj Kanti Deb and Forest minister Mevar Kumar Jamatia were also present.

Union secretary of Sports Affairs department Dr Amarendra Kumar Dubey and Chief Secretary of Tripura L K Gupta and secretary of Youth Affairs and Sports department Smarjit Bhowmik were also present in the dais.

During the three day long festival several groups from all eight NE states will perform in different kind of cultural prorogrammes including two music band shows by famous Bengali rock band Fossils and Bollywood playback Singer Alka Yagnik and Surubee Debbarman.
