Chief Minister Professor Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the newly constructed Waste Processing Center on 2.28 acres of land at Barbil in East Singichara under the initiative of Khowai Municipal Council on Tuesday.

Inaugurating the waste processing centre, the Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in 2014.

In the philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi, the Prime Minister highlighted his thoughts towards the people and countrymen also joined this campaign

He added that now garbage collection from house to house has become a habit in all municipal areas starting from Agartala city and every Nagar Panchayat.

The state government is also constructing waste processing plants.
He said that if the environment is clean, the chances of being affected by various diseases are less.
Garbage collection and processing has also provided incomes to many people.

He urged those involved in waste processing to be aware of their health and seek medical advice on time to take precautions.
