CM inaugurates State Level Drama festival; Says Drama is the mirror of life

“Drama is a powerful social medium. Drama can play a significant role in pointing society in the right direction.”

Chief Minister Professor Dr. Manik Saha said this while inaugurating the 11-day state-wide theater festival at Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhavan on Monday afternoon.

The chief minister further said, “Drama is the mirror of life. The opposite world of society emerges in drama. Drama plays a major role in creating awareness among people about various issues.”

He added, “The history of drama in Tripura is very old. The Department of Information and Culture is making efforts in various ways to make the theater industry more prosperous in the state.”

CM Saha expressed hope that high-quality actors and actresses will come out of this eleven-day theater festival.
