CM Manik holds high-level review meeting of SC Welfare Department

The government is taking plans and working for the financial upliftment of Scheduled Caste people through various schemes of the Central and State Governments.

The Scheduled Caste Welfare Department should coordinate with various departments and take initiative in implementing the plan.

Chief Minister Professor Dr. Manik Saha said this in the review meeting of the Scheduled Caste Welfare Department in the meeting room of the Secretariat on Saturday.

In the meeting, Chief Minister Dr. Saha reviewed the various projects of the Schedule Caste Welfare Department and said that the department should be more sincere in identifying the Scheduled Caste people and providing them with the benefits of the various projects of the Social Welfare and Social Education Department.

The department should also pay special attention to ensure that no student is deprived in getting pre-matric and post-matric scholarships.

The Chief Minister also inquired in detail about what programs have been implemented so far in the 32 ideal villages where Scheduled Caste people live.
