CM Manik Saha attends Vanmahotsav at Arundhatinagar HS School

Trees are our true friends. Currently, the state government initiated tree plantation as part of the Banamhotsav program throughout the year, which plays a significant role in maintaining the environmental balance.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that India should become a carbon-free country by 2070.
Everyone should come forward to plant trees to achieve that goal.

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said this in the Banamhotsav program organized by Arundhati Nagar 12th Class School on Thursday.

Planting trees is necessary for our proper survival in a environment, as plants provide oxygen.

Besides, the balance of nature also depends on vegetation. Nowadays, many people plant trees on social occasions and birthdays.

Chief Minister Saha said, as long as there are trees and forests, we can live properly.
He urged everyone to come forward to the plantation.

Besides, the CM also suggested that the school teachers should encourage the students to plant trees.

He reminded that the role of teachers is very important in this great program.
