CM Manik Saha urges industrialists to invest in Tripura in G-20 event

The G-20 Science Conference was held yesterday in the state with emphasis on climate change and creation of green energy through innovative thinking A total of 150 representatives of scientists and various organizations from different countries including the G-20 countries participated in this conference.

Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha informed this in a press conference at the indoor exhibition hall of the International Fair Ground in Hapana yesterday while highlighting various issues of the G-20 Science Conference.

The Chief Minister informed in the press conference that the G-20 Presidency started in the country from December 2, 2022 with 6 themes which will continue till November 30, 2023. The theme of the G-20 Science Conference organized in Tripura is ‘Clean Energy for a Greener Future!

In the press conference, the Chief Minister said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given us various instructions and suggestions regarding the organization of this conference since August 2022 after India got the responsibility of hosting the G-20 Presidency. The Prime Minister said that the whole world is one through a video conference on the G-20 summit That is, ‘One Earth, One Family and One Future And Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants to show it as the culture of India, to the whole world through G-20 summit.

The Chief Minister informed that representatives of Chile, Australia, Russia, United States, United Kingdom, Brazil, Argentina, South Korea, Indonesia, Morocco, Tanzania and Ethiopia participated in the G-20 Science Conference organized in Tripura,

In the press conference, the Chief Minister said that the state government is working seriously for the development of bamboo-based industries. Investors participating in the conference also expressed interest in setting up food processing, tourism, information-technology and pharmaceutical industries in the state. The state govemment is also working on green hydrogen.

The Chief Minister informed that the Central Government has adopted Green Hydrogen Mission to increase green hydrogen energy in the country. The Chief Minister informed that the state government is also working on solar energy and biomass projects as renewable energy 18 micro grid stations have already been set up in remote areas where electricity is not available.

Besides, another 1274 micro grid stations have been set up Installation of solar energy is under process in Dumboor area. He informed that 2005 families of the state have been brought under biogas project. The government has planned to bring 3 thousand more families under biogas project. In the press conference, the Chief Minister said that due to the development in various aspects. Tripura has gained recognition along with the country. The Chief Minister told that this could be possible only due to the sincere cooperation of the prime minister.

Minister of Industries and Commerce Santana Chakmu, Tribal Welfare Minister Bikash Debbarma, Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation Deepak Majumdar, Secretary of Information and Cultural Affairs Department Pradip Kumar Chakraborty and Special Secretary of Industries and Commerce Department Abhishek Chandra were present in the press conference. Before the press conference, Chief Minister Professor (Dr) Manik Saha inaugurated an exhibition at the International Indoor Exhibition Hall on the occasion of G-20 Science Conference. The Chief Minister also interacted with the visiting investors on the occasion of the conference.
