CM Manik Saha visited Indranagar IT Bhawan to inspect Agartala’s situation

Lives of citizens of Agartala became devastated by the continuous rainfall since 11 am on Friday.

Various low areas of Agartala are under water due to continuous heavy rainfall. Water raised up to waist height or chest height in these flooded areas.

CM Dr Manik Saha visited Indranagar IT Bhawan to inspect the situation of Agartala.

He monitored the overall situation of Agartala through CCTV cameras. He said that the water logged scenario is created due to extreme rainfall.

CM has instructed officials to take necessary steps to deal with the problem.

CM also instructed to allocate additional traffic police to manage traffic problems created due to heavy rainfall.

He also took steps to rescue school students from flooded areas.

He stated that almost all pumps are working actively for water extraction. He added that the extreme rain has created a disaster like situation. Government is trying best to handle the situation.
