The CPI-M on Thursday claimed that political violence in Tripura has crossed all limits and even the ailing and injured people are not being spared.
The opposition party said that the miscreants also attacked patients in the hospital and doctors’ chambers.
The CPI-M leaders alleged that after the announcement of the June 23 bypolls to the four assembly seats in Tripura, political violence has increased in different parts of the state.
By-elections for four assembly seats will be held in the state on June 23.
The notification for the by-election has been officially issued on Monday.
The four assembly constituencies in the state where by-elections will be held are 6-Agartala, 8-Town Bardowali, 46-Surma (SC) and 57-Yubrajnagar.
According to the State Election Department, the last date for submission of nomination papers for the by-elections is June 6, 2022 (Monday). Nomination papers will be examined on June 7, 2022 (Tuesday). The last day for withdrawal of nomination papers is June 9, 2022 (Thursday).
Voting will take place in the by-elections of four assembly constituencies on June 23, 2022 from 8 am to 5 pm.
