Congress intensifies Lok Sabha elections campaign in Tripura; releases manifesto for Lok Sabha elections

On Tuesday, Tripura Pradesh Congress released its manifesto for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections at the State Congress headquarters in Agartala.


All India Congress SC Cell Chairman Rajesh Lilothia, AICC secretary Szarita Laitphlang, TPCC president Asish Kumar Saha, Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman, Congress MLA Gopal Chandra Roy, former TPCC president Pijush Kanti Biswas, and others released the manifesto.


The menifesto titled ‘Nyay Patra’ focuses on the party’s commitment to ‘Nyay’ (Justice) through its ‘five pillars’, namely


‘Yuva Nyay’, ‘Kisan Nyay’, ‘Hissedari Nyay’. ‘Nari Nyay’, and ‘Shramik Nyay’.
The manifesto urges Tripura residents to vote for I.N.D.I.A bloc candidates; Asish Kumar Saha for the West Tripura seat and Rajendra Reang for the East seat.


During the press conference, senior Congress leader Rajesh Lilothia criticized NDA governments, accusing the BJP of pushing the country to the brink of destruction across all sectors.


He stated, “If elected to power, the Congress pledges to conduct a caste census and pass a constitutional amendment to increase the 50% cap on reservations for SC, ST, and OBC.”
