Congress leaders pay tributes to Rajiv Gandhi on death anniversary, call him ‘great son of India’

Sadbhavna Diwas, also known as Sadbhav Diwas, was observed in India on Sunday, August 20th.

This day commemorates the birth anniversary of Rajiv Gandhi, the 6th Prime Minister of India.

The day is a reminder of Rajiv Gandhi’s endeavors towards fostering harmony and peace.

Tripura Congress also celebrated the day by organising a blood donation camp. Former MLA Asish Saha, MLA Gopal Chandra Roy and NSUI Tripura President Samrat Roy were present at the camp.

Ashish Saha in the event said, “Indian National Congress members at the grassroots and national level wholeheartedly celebrate Sadbhavana Divas. The party takes great pride in highlighting the peace initiatives undertaken by Rajiv Gandhi during his time as Prime Minister.” He added, “Rajiv Gandhi’s efforts extended beyond fostering communal harmony within India.
