Animesh Debbarma, the Leader of the Opposition in Tripura urged the residents of Tripura to have faith in the uprightness and reliability of Pradyot Kishore Debbarman, the head of TIPRA Motha.
He mentioned that discussions between TIPRA and the Indian government had resumed after a brief break.
Animesh Debbarma strongly responded to the social media messages that were questioning the TIPRA Chief’s absence from state politics for some time.
He said, “People should not raise any suspicions about the efforts of the Maharaja to resolve the 75-year-long injustice towards the people of the state. Both tribal and non-tribal communities would benefit equally if their demands are met.”
Debbarma clarified that the TIPRA Chief was out of the country for medical treatment, and the moment he returned to the state, discussions between the Government of India and their party resumed.
He criticized the political parties that had raised doubts about the appointment of an interlocutor and stated that they would receive a satisfactory response soon.
He also mentioned that the TIPRA Chief had worked hard for the betterment of everyone and had always expressed his desire to do something for his people.
