CPI-M doesn’t accept Tripura civic polls verdict: Manik Sarkar

On Tuesday a press conference was organized by Opposition leader of TLA Manik Sarkar.

Opposition leader of TLA Manik Sarkar explosive and sarcastic remarks from his mouth targeting BJP, the party in power.

From the very beginning, he showed his pity concern regarding the bypassed local body elections of the state.

He alleged the ruling party of hijacking the public vote and forcefully forming the municipal bodies across the state.

Taking a dig at the government he said that election has now become a mockery in this state and there shall be no doubt with that. He also softly criticised the PM Modi for violating the election protocol and politically manipulating the common public.

The CPI-M does not accept the verdict of the recent civic polls in Tripura as the elections to the 20 urban local bodies were conducted “fraudulently”, hence the results of the polls were “not fair”, former Chief Minister and the partys politburo member Manik Sarkar said on Tuesday.

Lastly, he urged the common people to get united and fight unitedly against this tyrannical government with the aim to restore the democracy in this state.

Replying to state Law and Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath’s accusation of violence and rigging during elections in the Left regime, the former Chief Minister said that if any incident happened at that time, the police and the administration had taken action.
