The state conference of the CPI (M) is likely to come in January 2019 to take stock of the situation facing the party after the poor result in the last assembly election in Tripura.
Preparation is on in full swing for the three day conference though the venue and timing have not been as yet formally.
CPI (M) said that since the assembly polls the party and its cadres and workers have come under repeated attacks from the ruling BJP workers and supporters and many party and front organizational offices have been demolished by the state government. All these issues including the growing poverty, food crisis and lack of viable employment program for the rural and hilly poor will come up for discussion in the upcoming state conference . A major political resolution including an agitational program will also be announced after discussion in the conference.
