“The BJP has nothing to fear from the Left-Congress alliance ahead of the 2023 Tripura Assembly elections.
There is no reason to take this alliance so seriously”. State Information and Cultural Affairs Minister Sushanta Chowdhury made this comment from a press conference at BJP’s election office in Agartala on Saturday.
Besides, he said, “It is an illusion that the Left-Congress alliance will form the government in this state in the coming days. People will reject them.”
He criticized the CPI(M) and Congress from the press conference this day.
The CPI(M) and Congress have announced that they will fight the Tripura assembly elections together, in a major shake-up in the political arena of the northeastern state, where the two parties were considered arch-rivals.
The announcement was made after AICC general secretary Ajoy Kumar held a meeting with CPI(M) state secretary Jitendra Choudhury on Friday evening.
