On Sunday, Former Chief Minister and Rajya Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb appealed to the people not to give vote for CPIM.
While addressing a party program at Sonamura in Sepahijala district, Biplab Deb said that leaders left Congress and joined BJP in the last assembly election because they had a doubt that Congress and CPIM have some kind of hidden understanding.
He added that currently the understanding is proven and came before people. MP Deb alleged that thousands of people were killed, women were raped as well as many people have left Tripura due to the misrule of CPIM and Congress.
He claimed these issues have come to closure in the era of the BJP government. Deb further said, ” Two former chief ministers Manik Sarkar of CPIM and Samir Ranjan Barman of Congress held rallies yesterday. I will save their photo and put it in an exhibition to aware people of the criminals who deprived people and fooled them just to stay in power”.
He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi came here just to provide rice to poor people and not to collect subscriptions from people.
Biplab Deb added that CPIM government never gave rice free of cost and CPIM leaders collected subscriptions even during Covid.
He added, “Tripura’s development is not possible without Modi.
He also claimed that the CPI(M), which ruled the state for 25 years, has no chance of returning to power.
“The CPI(M) has lost its strength to contest the BJP alone, and that’s why Manik Sarkar (opposition leader) is taking help of the B team (Congress),” he said
