On Wednesday, the Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Debbarma has inaugurated six new sub power stations in the Sonamura Sub-Division under the authorisation of TSECL.
Right after the inauguration event he commented about the progress and development in the power sector that people of this state are enjoying.
Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Verma inaugurates 133-KV power sub-station at Rabindra Nagar in Sonamura sub-division on Wednesday. Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Pratima Bhowmik, MLA Subhash Das and others were present.
Addressing the crowd in the event, he said “After the establishment of this present BJP-IPFT led government, there is revolution going in the Power Supply and Connectivity of the state.
The government has been working tirelessly to reach the power connection safely and on time in the last corner of the state”.
He also said that the power department has been working efficiently without increasing any additional tax.
Already, 12 thousand solar lamp posts have been set up in the state and more 15 thousand will be set up very soon.
For benefitting the common people with efficient power connection, 1 lakh 36 thousand families have been provided the facility under the “Saubhagya Vidyut Yojana”.
