Digitalisation of Libraries in Tripura

On Wednesday, the Two Days State Level Seminar on “Transforming Traditional Public Libraries into Digital Libraries in Tripura” is held at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan Hall No.2 Sponsored by Raja Rammohun Roy Library Foundation, Dept. of Culture , GoI & Organised by Birchandra State Central Library.

The State Education and Law Minister, Ratan Lal Nath being the Chief Guest shared stage with other dignitaries.

Addressing all, he first discussed the importance of digital library education and technological advancements. He briefly narrated about the future prospects and plans of the government regarding transforming education sector of Tripura.

He thanked the following bodies for coming forward and showed their interest in upgrading the library education system across the state.

He also described the legacy of the very prestigious Bir Chandra Library. “Our aim is to provide qualitative as well as quantitative education to the sparkling minds of this state. Without a strong framework of education, our boys and girls cannot overcome the obstacles and challenges waiting in future. So, we have to make sure that our children are getting nice and proper education in the state” said Mr. Nath in his minute long speech.

Among the other main dignitaries, the former vice-chancellor of Tripura University Arunodoy Saha, The Secretary of Education were also present in the event.
