A delegation of senior-level officers from the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Government of India led by Director-General of Forests & Special Secretary (DGF&SS), Chandra Prakash Goyal visited Tripura today.
At first, they paid tribute to Forest Martyrs of the state at Forest Memorial at Oxygen Park, Salhagan. Then they looked around the park. A Tree Ambulance was flagged off by the Director-General of Forests & Special Secretary at Prakriti Bhawan, Hatipara as an initiative to provide emergency life saving services to trees and promote their well-being.
Later, the Director-General of Forests & Special Secretary presided over a review meeting of Forest department, Government of Tripura. Ongoing initiatives, challenges and future plans were discussed in the meeting.
