DM of Dhalai district conducted an administrative field visit and inspection programme Dhalal district Administration in collaboration with Longtharai valley SDM Office and Chawmanu RD Block office organised an Administrative field visit and inspection programme in Chawmanu Village Committee area on 24 June, 2023.
The main objective was to review and inspect the follow up action plan of different government schemes and projects of the current fiscal year. District Magistrate Dr. Siddharth Shiv Jaiswal was accompanied by SDM Subhash Datta, BDO Kamal Debbarma along with the District and Sub-divisional officials of various line department’s during their visits. They inspected West Chawmanu Fair Price Shop (Ration) and next visited the PMAY-G house at Saha colony followed by Kangsha Maharaj Anganwadi Centre and interacted with montessori kids. Next, they visited and observed distributed Agricultural Mechanization and Foxtial cultivation and Block road at Saha colony, CC road from Bishuram para to Megabarna para JB School, inspected construction of RCC box culvert under RURBAN and later visited Pohor English Medium School
Afterwards, the officials also attended an Administrative cum Health Camp and conducted a general meeting at Chawmanu ILS School premise. They enquired about their basic needs, relevant points such as insisting Chawmanu Revenue circle (DCM office) to be regularly functional on 2 working days in a week. Next, deputing adequate English teacher at Thalcherra High school and other necessary issues of school education were brought forward, uninterrupted or regular power supply to be seen by FEEDCO and TSECL, early up- gradation of Chawmanu CHC with two more specialist (child and Gynaecologist) and other health and nutrition matters, proper road connectivity to be taken up PMGSY and under by PWD.
Drinking water and sanitation by DWS, overall functioning of ICDS AWC centres, regular inspection of Ration (FP) Shops and Godowns (Stores) by SDM Office, and an initiative for hundreds of sapling plantations within this monsoon season and other requisite points were reviewed and emphasized herein. All concerned departmental officials discussed and committed to take remedial steps for providing necessary provisions so as to boost various development activities in this Aspirational Block and habitations in due time
DM Dhalai, Dr. Jaiswal appreciated all the line departments for their efforts and carrying out progressive works within this zone and urged the officials present here to initiate far more suitable projects to meet up the basic requirements. During this camp, necessary documents like Ration card, ST, PRTC, Income and alike were distributed by the dignitaries present at the camp. And through Chawmanu CHC, a total of 45 patients were given treatment and free medicines
Officials of Health, SW & SE (ICDS), Fishery, Agriculture, DWS, PWD (R&B), TSECL Education, ICA, ARDD, School Education, TTAADC, Block, Horticulture and village committee staffs along with community leaders and villagers of this habitations were also present at the camp
