Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha instructed the doctors and administrative authority to further increase minimum services of GBP hospital.
The Chief Minister in a conference meeting during his visit to GBP Hospital today said, the infrastructure of the hospital is in good condition. Doctors must take the responsibility towards providing advanced healthcare services in the hospital. He said, the minimum services of the hospital must be made up to the mark.
He emphasized upon the matter so that patients may not have to lie and sleep on the floor. He directed the hospital authority to pay attention to cleanliness, regular cleaning, follow up on patients etc.
The Chief Minister said, huge amount of money is being spent on this hospital. Maintenance is important even if the infrastructure is good. patients going outside the state for getting treatment has lessened compared to past days. GBP Hospital is undergoing through lot of stress. asked the hospital authority and the doctors to see what more facilities may be delivered despite that.
After taking over, it is first visit of Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha to Agartala Government Medical College and GBP Hospital and attended a conference meeting in the conference hall. Principal Secretary of Health department J. K. Sinha, high-ranking officials, Superintendent of GBP Hospital and doctors in charge of different sections were present during the meeting.
Officials of different department including PWD were also present. Officials of Health department spoke on different issues and present infrastructure of GBP Hospital.
