Dumboor to become water adventure sports destination soon

Agartala, January 24, 2022: In these 25 years of left regime in the state, the tourism sector has been ignored the most. Because of poor infrastructure and management during that time all the major tourist spots and destination were almost on the verge of destruction.

But after the inception of BJP-IPFT led government in 2018, major boost has been witnessed in the state tourism sector especially.

Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb’s plan to make the state a preferred tourist destination is going to be a reality soon.

Recently, Tripura Government has sanctioned Rs. 6 crore as Special Assistance for Capital Expenditure 2021-22 to immediately develop various water adventure sports and infrastructure in various islands at Dumboor.

The projected unfinished works funded by the Asian Development Bank will start very soon, stated by the Tourism Minister Pranajit Singha Roy.

The Tourism Minister mentioned in his report that various water adventure sports like Parasailing, hot air balloons, zip line, stand up paddle boat, high rope activities, water roller, snorkeling, angling, banana boats and many more activities would soon be introduced at Narikelkunja and five other selected islands of Dumboor.

Experts believe that it will take Tripura to the international tourism league and would collect heavy revenue from all these sectors.
