ECI Voter Awareness Contest-“My Vote is My Future: Power of One Vote”

The contest to be held in 5 categories till March 15, 2021

The Election Commission of India has lamched the first National Voter Awareness Contest on the theme “My Vote is My Future Power of One Vote” on the occasion of National Voter’s Day to reiterate the importance of every vote. The contest will be held in 5 categories which includes Quiz Contest. Slogan Contest, Song Contest, Video Making Contest and Poster Design Contest till March 15, 2022. It is to be noted that Song, Video Making and Poster Design Contests are classified in three categories Institutional, Professional and Amateur. Entries for video, song and slogan contest can be given in any official language as per the Eighth Schedule of the Indian Constitution.

The Quiz Contest will have 3 levels Easy, Intermediate and Difficult All participants will receive e-certificate on the completion of all three levels of the contest. The winners will get ECT merchandise and badges. In case of Slogan Contest, first prize is Rs. 20,000 second prize is Rs. 10,000; third prize is Rs. 7,500 Special mention award of Rs. 2,000 cach will be given to fifty participants.

In case of Seng Contest. participants may perform any form including Classical, Contemporary, Rap etc. The song duration must not exceed 3 minutes. Participants may create original compositions on the theme Artists and singers may use any musicul instrument of their choice. In Institutional category, first prize is Rs. 1,00,000; second prize is Rx 50,000 third prize is Rs 30,000 Special mention award is Rs 15,000 In Professionalcategory, first prize is Rs. 50,000 second prize is Rs. 30,000; third prize is Rs. 20.000. Special mention award is Rs. 10,000. In Amateurcategory, first prize is Rs. 20,000. second prize is Rs. 10,000 third prize is Rs. 7,500.

Special mention award is Rs. 3,000, In case of Video Making Contest, apart from the main theme of the contest, the participants may follow other themes such as Importance of Informed & Ethical Voting (Inducement Free Voting) and Power of Vote: Depicting Importance of Voting for Women, Persons with Disabilities, Senior Citizens, Young & First Time Voters. The video shall be of one-minute duration only. In Institutional category, first prize is Rs. 2,00,000 second prize is Rs. 1,00,000, third prize is Rs 75,000. Special mention awand is Rs. 30,000. In Professional category, first prize is Rs. 50,000; second prize is Rs. 30,000, thind prize is Rs. 20,000 Special mention award is Rs. 10,000. In Amateur category, fast prize is Rs. 30,000, second prize is Rs.20,000, third prize is Rs. 10,000.

Special mention award is Rs. 5,000. In case ofPoster Design Contest, participants may submit a digital poster, sketch or hand painted poster on the theme. In Institutional category, first prize is Rs. 50.000, second prize is Rs.30,000, thind prize is Rs 20,000 Special mention award is Rs. 10,000. In Professional category, first prize is Rs. 30,000; second prize is Rs. 20,000, third prize is Rs. 10,000. Special mention award is Rs. 5,000. In Amateur category, first prize is Rs.20,000, second prize is Rs.10.000; third prize is Rs. 7,500. Special mention award is Rs.3.000.

The entries in different categories will be judged by a jury constituted by the Election Commission of India. Participants shall email the entries along with the details to t voter-contestlergov in. The name of the contest and category for which the participant is applying shall be clearly mentioned in the subject of the e-mail.
