Places of historical and cultural heritage are an important area to gain knowledge about the past. Whoever comes to these places will return enriched.

Education Minister Ratanlal Nath said this while addressing the chief guest at the opening ceremony of Tripura’s Historical and Cultural Tradition Exhibition organized for 3 days at the Art Gallery of Agartala City Center under the initiative of the Department of Higher Education.

He said that this exhibition is a memory and document of time, which is especially necessary for government work, especially administrative work.

He added that if the past record is not known, the work path is not smooth.
The Education Minister said that such exhibitions also have an important role for academicians, writers, researchers and students.

The government has organized this exhibition keeping this need in mind. He added that the present and the future are based on the past and therefore, it is the duty of all of us to save the history.

Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Deepak Majumder was present as guest of honor in the event.

Chairman of Higher Education Council Prof. Arunoday Saha addressed the event as a special guest.

Director of Higher Education NC Sharma delivered the welcome address.
After the opening ceremony, the guests visited the exhibition.
