Eklavya Model Residential School’s achievement in NERIST entrance examination
Tribal Welfare department has taken up various plans for the welfare of tribals of the state.
Among these, with a view to provide quality and holistic education for tribal students residing in different remote areas of the state, residential schools, Eklavya Model Day Boarding schools and ashramschoolshave been set up.
Besides education in these schools, importance has been givenfor overall development of tribal students.
Arrangements have been made for training students for entrance and competitive exams in previous academic year. In an exam, NEE-1:2021 conducted by North-Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST), 6 students belonging to tribal community of the state were selected.
Out of those 6 students, 5 students were fromEklavya Model Residential School and residential school run by Tribal Welfare department.
