Food Safety Index: Tripura awarded in small states category

Tripura has been awarded in ‘small states category’ for improvement in overall performance on various parameters of Food Safety.

Central Government has awarded a certificate to Tripura for improvement of food safety parameters.

The Food Safety Standard Authority of India conducted a ceremony in FDA Bhavan at New Delhi on June 7 on the occasion of World Food Safety Day.

The Food Safety Standard Authority of India under Health Ministry has assented Tripura for food safety under the ‘Small State’ category.

Tripura has been awarded the certificate based on ‘State Food Safety Index 2021-2022’ for the overall improvement of food safety parameters.

Sonal Goyal the Resident Commissioner of Tripura Bhawan has received the award and certificate on behalf of Tripura from Dr Mansukh L. Mandaviya, the Minister of Health and Family Welfare of India.
